You can ask the ‘Industry Giants Panel’
Last year, it was my privilege to moderate the “Industry Giants Panel,” one of the top sessions held during MRAA’s annual conference in Las Vegas. If you recall, many of you submitted the primary questions that were asked during that session.
This year’s panel discussion will be ably moderated by Matt Gruhn of Boating Industry. But MRAA president Phil Keeter has observed that since so many readers of this Dealer Outlook blog submitted great questions last year, we’ve been given the green light to do it again.
Accordingly, here is another opportunity for you to provide questions you would ask the distinguished members of this panel. And, indeed, this year’s panel will be made up of seven industry leaders: John Dorton, Mastercraft; Phil Dyskow, Yamaha; Irwin Jacobs, Genmar; Roch Lambert, BRP; Dusty McCoy, Brunswick; Kevin Riem, Crownline; and Paxson St. Clair, Cobalt.
If you have a suggested question(s), you can get it to me in any of these three ways: 1) Post your question here in the blog comments; 2) Fax me at LEMTA, (440) 899-5013; or 3) e-mail me directly at NormSchultz@sbcglobal.net.
Note: I will not identify the authors (assuming I even know) of any questions asked, and I can’t, of course, submit a question that would require a panelist to reveal proprietary company information. Other than that, however, the door is wide open for you to be part of an interesting and timely dialogue, whether you’re at the conference in person or not. (And I think every dealer should be attending this outstanding industry conference!)
In case you’ve missed it, the MRAA Marine Dealer Conference & Expo (MDCE) is slated for Nov. 17-19 at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. This year’s conference will boast the most comprehensive series of educational sessions ever put together by MRAA. I urge all dealers to get the full MDCE schedule of sessions and register at www.mraa.com. In the meanwhile, I will be accepting questions for the panel between now and Nov. 1. So, take time now to send in whatever’s on your mind.
